Accounts Payable Specialist

About the Opportunity
Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join a growing team in Tampa. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with numbers, processes, and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Process high-volume invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Perform 3-way match (invoice, purchase order, receiving documentation)
- Code invoices to the appropriate general ledger accounts
- Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with company policies
- Respond to vendor inquiries and internal requests professionally
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation
Qualifications
- 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUPs a plus)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience in a high-volume or shared services environment
